Verses that stood out to me

Psalm 20:4
May he grant you your hearts desire and fulfill all your plan! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners!May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!

But we trust in the name of our lord god they collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.

Proverbs 420-27
My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings, let then not escape from your sight; keep them within you heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the left or to the right, turn your foot away from evil

Matthew 16:24
If anyone should come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

I love the bible...

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 3:4

I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress
     and my deliverer,
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.

Psalms 18:1-2

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
I have set the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
     I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your hold one see decay.
You have made known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalms 16:7-11

Recent Verses. :)

What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

Psalms 8:4

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your father in heaven feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the feild grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the feild, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'. For the pagans ruan after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own.

Matthew 6:25-34

Do nto store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where theives break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where theives do not break in and steal. For where you treasure is, there you heart will be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Matthew 7:7

January 4th + 5th.

I get pretty freaked out in the middle of the night sometimes, so this Psalms is definitely going on my wall! :
"I will lie down and sleep in peace,
     for you alone, O Lord,
     make me dwell in safety."

Psalms 4:8

So good!!

Very rarely do I actually think about what it means to suffer for Christ, but when I do, I get in this weird confusion between wanting to but being to scared to ask God to let me, or completly giving him my life to do as he pleases with it, when that happens, I think I just need to go back and read todays devotion:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
     for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
     for they will be filled.
Blessed are those who are merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are those who are poor in heart,
     for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted prophets who were before you."

Matthew 5:3-12

I really just liked this whole sections, heres a few more:

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on it's stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see you good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16
