Titus 2:4-5

Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches s to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly loves in this present age, while we wait for our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

October 28
Titus 3:1-3
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do what ever is good to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate and to show true humility toward all men.

But when the kindness and love of God our savior appeared, he saved us not because of righteous things we have done, but because of his mercy, He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the holy spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, having been justified by his grace , we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul,

Psalms 94: 18-19

October 25th

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

2 Timothy 4:3-- I nominate this for theme verse of our science class :) <3

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

I think 2 Timothy is my favorite book so far! :)

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation

October 26
Psalms 97:1-2

The lord reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surrounds him: righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
For you O lord are the most high over all the earth. you are exalted far above all gods.
Rejoice in the lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name

October 23
2 Timothy 2:1-21
Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus

Id we died with him, we ill also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful,, for he cannot disown himself

October 24
Warn then before God against quarreling about wards; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen

2 timothy 2:22
Flee the evil desires of youth , and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant then repentance leading then to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil who has taken them captive to do His will

But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life- not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This Grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed thought the appearing of our savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

Psalms 91:14
This verse is simply amazing. Because I love God with all my heart, he will do all these things for me... wow. I REALLY don't deserve that.
"Because he loves me", says the Lord, I will answer him; for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and i will answer him; I will be with in in trouble, i will deliver him and honor him, With long life will i satisfy him and show him my salvation"

Oct 18th

So, today, when I was reading Jeremiah, and I was completly struck and convicted that I AM NOT UNDER THE WRATH OF GOD. These people in Jeremiah were, they were help accountable for they're sin. I am going to HEAVEN! I am counted righteous! Praise God! :) Anyways, I put a new note on my wall, its the first on thats not a scripture. It says: You are not under the wrath of God! Be grateful! Lord, keep me humble and grateful!

And now for the scriptures:

I am the Lord the God of all mankind. Is anything to hard for me?
Jeremiah 32:27

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head and the Lord will reward you.

October 17

Sooo, this morning when i spent time with God, i decided to read Romans, along with the one year bible. I wanted to look over the chapter we were going to read next Sunday, during scripture memory. The chapter was AMAZING! Romans i one of my favorite books in the bible. That and Philippians. So anyway, I just wanted to jot down some good verses in Romans, because i think it'll be encouraging.

Romans 5:2-12
Through Him we have also obtained, access by faith into his grace, in which we stand, and we rejoice, in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person-though perhaps for a good person one wold dare even to die, but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Since, Therefore we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

whew! Wasn't that truly amazing?

alright, now onto the one year bible

1 Timothy 2:3-5
This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for a men- the testimony given in its proper time
2:9
I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. A women should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man; she must be silent.

Children, obey your parents in erything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, for they will become discouraged. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, and do it not only when their eye is upon you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

October 7th

"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who excercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight." declares the Lord.

He is before all things and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the first born from among the dead, so that in everything he might have supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell on him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

Philippians 3:13

Side Note: Tomorrow we start Jeremiah...yay! I have to admit, I am glad to be out of Isaiah!

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Catch up too!!

I got really behind too! And i felt the same way you did. I was like "oh nooo! now i have to read, like eight chapters in Isaiah... that book is SO hard!" and then, just like that, I was sucked in, and it didn't drag on at all. There was so many superb verses.

September 30

Isaiah 61:10-13

"I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Sept 29, 30 and Oct 1st...Catching up!

The passages set aside for these day were FULL of awesome, convicting verses. It was totally a God-thing, because, last night, I was behind 2 days, and I didn't really want to read my devotion, but once I got going, wow. I was sucked in, and I ended up catching myself up because I enjoyed what I was reading so much. :)

"I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and revive the heart of the contrite."

    Isaiah 57:15

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: 'Here I am.' "

"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if and comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being in one spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves."
     Philippians 2:1-3

"Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand, you guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

    Psalms 73:23-26
