The passages set aside for these day were FULL of awesome, convicting verses. It was totally a God-thing, because, last night, I was behind 2 days, and I didn't really want to read my devotion, but once I got going, wow. I was sucked in, and I ended up catching myself up because I enjoyed what I was reading so much. :)
"I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and revive the heart of the contrite."
Isaiah 57:15
"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter- when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: 'Here I am.' "
Isaiah 58:6-9
"Surely the arm of the Lord is not to short to save, nor his ear to dull to hear."
Isaiah 59:1
"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6
"Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to mo has really served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ."
Philippians 1:12-13
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if and comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being in one spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility, consider others better than yourselves."
Philippians 2:1-3
"Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand, you guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalms 73:23-26
